List of English words that are difficult to find their explanations or translations[засварлах]
So here I am collecting some English words that I could not find any detailed explanations for them and I will try to find any appropriate ones if possible and work on to translate them into Mongolian. Indeed it is difficult, but it is fun. If you see this on my talk page and would like to add whatever word you consider that is difficult, just please add in the list with your name. And if you know the definition and attaching it with the corresponding word, then it would be highly appreciated. Just feel free to leave your comments and opinions about the words.
- bidistilled water - it looks like some kind of distilled water. But I could not find out exactly what it refers to. This word is not in the English Wiktionary. Bilguun.alt 09:39, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
What I got for bidistilled water from yahoo answers: Bidistilled water is water distilled two times (distill it 3rd time is unnecessary) in order to remove all the dissolved minerals and it is used for scientific and laboratory applications. Today bidistilled water is not used widely. Instead HPLC grade water is replaced it. Bilguun.alt 01:18, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes: bi- is prefix that indicates 'twice', as in bigamy: marrying twice, i.e. to two women. nl:Gebruiker:Jcwf
